Forums and Local Information

Our forums and working groups are a way for local people to hear about key issues related to the construction of Sizewell C. Having launched in January 2024, there are four main forums, which will cover all the main project-related issues and opportunities relevant to the community.

If you have any questions about the project that you’d like to raise through the forums, you can simply send these to your local parish or town council.

If you have a general query that you would like to discuss with us, please click below for info on how you can contact us.

Our forums are chaired independently. See below for more information about our chairs and the members of each forum.

Christine Abraham, Community Forum Chair

Former CEO of Community Action Suffolk

Christine Abraham is Suffolk through and through — born and educated in Ipswich, and a lifelong resident of East Suffolk.

She began her career with Suffolk Constabulary, serving as a police constable in Lowestoft, Leiston and Saxmundham before starting a family. Christine then worked in childcare and early education before moving into community development in 2000.

Over the next 23 years, she held senior roles with Suffolk ACRE, Young Suffolk and Community Action Suffolk, serving as CEO of the latter for 4½ years until stepping down in September 2023.

Brian Stewart OBE, Chair of the Northern and Southern Transport Forums

Also Chair of trustees for Papworth Trust and the Anglian Great Ouse Regional Flood and Coastal Committee.

Brian is a Chartered Town Planner who spent much of his executive career in local and regional government at Director and Chief Executive level.

Since 2010, he’s built a diverse portfolio of non-executive, consultancy, trustee and chairing roles — including leadership in the NHS, housing, theatre, planning, local government projects, and community forums.

Today, his work spans HS2 and East West Rail panels, chairing a regional disability charity, and leading the Anglian Great Ouse Regional Flood and Coastal Committee. He lives near Bury St Edmunds.
