National support for nuclear
According to the latest YouGov polling, 24% of Britons now prefer nuclear power when thinking about the UK’s future energy needs – ahead of any other energy source.
Local support for Sizewell C
Polling by ICM in 2022 found that most people in East Suffolk supported the Sizewell C project — and that support has only grown.
In 2025, polling across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, and the parts of Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire closest to the Suffolk coast showed strong backing for new nuclear in the region.
