A unique, sustainable workshop where all families are invited to bring their unused fabrics to start building the Leiston Rainbow!
A fun half-term activity for all the family to get involved in, as part of a new exciting community production of Benjamin Britten’s opera Noye’s Fludde (Noah’s Flood). It will be an opportunity for you to put your own spin on our Rainbow – a powerful symbol of Hope, Strength and Togetherness. Old clothes, pillowcases, bunting – all types of fabric are welcome as long as they are colourful (and clean!).
You will also have the opportunity to explore other craft materials and activities, connect with old and new friends, and learn more about further opportunities to get involved in the project – open to all and no experience required!
The event will be followed by a free screening of Wonka – the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate‐maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.
Come and Sing is just one part of the Sizewell Creative offer – but it’s huge fun!
Under the professional guidance of opera director Rosalind Parker and conductor Tim Brown, Come and Sing is a fun sing-a-long of firm favourite, blended with some new music too.
A celebration of singing and community – whether you are an individual, a family, a whole choir – everyone is welcome at a Come and Sing event.
Come and Sing is suitable for the whole family. Spaces are free, but limited. Reserve your free tickets now.
Sizewell Creative will launch an “In Residence” programme, working with a dedicated artist, writer and poet, to explore the themes and work of Sizewell C; providing an artistic interpretation and social history of Sizewell C.
