Securing our clean energy future

Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes.

It will be a close copy of Hinkley Point C which is already under construction in Somerset.

These new power stations will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.

Communities

Supporting the East of England

Nuclear has been part of life in East Suffolk ever since Sizewell A was built in the 1960s. Sizewell B is producing clean power for millions of homes today.

Sizewell C will begin another chapter of safe nuclear generation in the region.

The new power station will bring lasting economic benefits to Suffolk and has strong local support.

Careers

Interested in working at Sizewell C?

The construction and operation of Sizewell C will create thousands of jobs and apprenticeships.

We are already working with schools and colleges to help people develop the skills we will need.

Accommodation

Advertise or find a place to stay near Sizewell C

We have launched a new Accommodation Management System (AMS) designed to help match Sizewell C workers with providers of local accommodation. The service is free to use and welcomes all types of accommodation, including spare rooms, HMOs, private rentals, holiday cottages, Bed and Breakfasts, caravan sites, holiday parks and hotels.

Environment

Sizewell C will look after nature

We will look after the local environment before, during and after construction of the power station.

Wildlife has thrived for decades around the existing Sizewell B station and before that at Sizewell A.

We will build on a great track record and continue to protect this precious area of Suffolk.
