The Sizewell C comms team brings you news, updates, blogs and information on the Sizewell C project.
Just over a month ago EDF Energy completed the second stage of public consultation for the Sizewell C project. We engaged with over 3,500 people during the consultation which was completed on 3 February. Nearly 1,100 responses were received.
We will now take the necessary time to fully consider all the feedback we have received from Stage 2 Consultation on Sizewell C, in order to shape the proposals we will develop for further public consultation. This will be a detailed process and shows our commitment to genuine consultation and listening to our stakeholders.
We will keep parishes updated on project activity and progress, including informing you well in advance of the next stage of formal consultation.
If you are planning an event, or new equipment for your club or organisation, you could be eligible to apply to the Sizewell C Neighbourhood Fund. All grants must benefit communities local to Sizewell.
Applicants who have benefited in the past range from fishing clubs and community parties, to music projects for the elderly and school playground equipment. Requests relevant to education, environment, lifestyle and health will be viewed particularly positively, although support will not necessarily be limited to these themes. The closing date for the first round of applications in 2017 is Friday 28 April. For more information visit theSizewell C project website. Alternatively, you can call or email Nicky Corbett on 01728 833891 or nicola.corbett@edf-energy.com, or visit the Sizewell C Information Office at 48 High Street, Leiston IP16 4EW.
