Sizewell C is pleased to announce that it is now a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant.

Within the covenant, Sizewell C recognises the contribution that serving and former armed forces personnel can and do make to the project. It also sets out a commitment to support those who work on the project and may have been injured or bereaved during military service.

Upon signing the covenant, Joint Managing Director, Nigel Cann said, “Sizewell C has the privilege to partner with many diverse organisations. Our relationship with the armed services is very special to us with many aligned values and behaviours. To maintain a journey of service in our armed forces through to our fight with climate change has a very special significance.”

Sizewell C has several networks, including a Forces Support Network, which is open to any employee and contractor working on the project. Regarding the covenant signing, they said, “Sizewell C’s signing of the Armed Forces Covenant demonstrates that the Company is committed to creating the right environment for Service Families, Veterans and Reservists to be involved in this nationally significant project. By signing the Covenant during Armed Forces week it reinforces the Company’s ongoing commitment to the Forces Support Network.”

The aim of the Forces Support Network is to provide support for former Armed Services personnel who currently work on the project or are about to join. Sizewell C is striving to be an employer of choice for ex-military.
