Climate activist Sacha Dench lands in Suffolk

We were delighted to welcome Sacha to Sizewell on her trip around Britain in an electric paramotor to draw attention to climate change in the lead up to COP26, the UN's climate summit in Glasgow.

The challenge started in July with Sacha taking to the skies from Glasgow. On her epic journey around Britain, she has met people from all walks of life tackling climate change and biodiversity challenges, hoping to answer the question 'Britain drove the Industrial Revolution, can we drive the Green Revolution too?' Sacha has met climate heroes from industry, agriculture, communities and conservation as well as other partners who are providing campsites each night.

This week she landed in Suffolk to talk to Julia Pyke, Sizewell C director, Robert Gunn, Sizewell B station director and Hugh Somerleyton founder of Wild East. She heard about the key role nuclear can play in helping to reach net zero and about our plans for boosting biodiversity and rewilding on the Sizewell estate.
