Sizewell C is creating real opportunities for local people – with at least 1,500 apprenticeships available during construction, including 540 for those living in Suffolk.

Charlotte's story

Trade unions at Sizewell C

Charlotte, a trade union official from Scunthorpe, is committed to advocating for workers and empowering them to stand up for their rights.

Drawing on her experience as a steelworker and being the only woman in the room, Charlotte played a pivotal role in negotiating one of the most progressive construction industry agreements signed by Sizewell in 2024, a deal between Tier 1 contractors and key trade unions.
