Jim Crawford, Sizewell C project development director told leaders in education at the launch of the Festival of Learning today: “We want local people to have the best opportunity to gain employment and skills from Sizewell C.

“The Suffolk Young Chamber is one part of a range of activities and initiatives we will be involved in to help develop Suffolk’s talent over the years to come.

“We are currently working in partnership with local schools, colleges, training providers and the local authorities to help develop an education programme and the skills required to support the construction of Sizewell C.”

Suffolk Chamber’s Ashleigh Seymour-Rutherford said: “We have a longstanding and mutually supportive relationship with EDF Energy. They are one of Suffolk Chamber’s patrons and we are working with them to upgrade our Sizewell C supply chain website aimed at ensuring that as many local firms as possible secure contracts to help in the construction of the new station.”
